Q: You and your hubby are so cute! How did you know that your partner was the one?

“Aw thank you! I knew he was the one when I saw how sweet, hard-working, and family oriented he was. He was always such a gentleman, fun, and adventurous. I knew he was going to be my forever travel and life partner. He makes life so fun! He is the oldest of his three younger sisters and seeing what a great big brother and son he was made me know that someday he would be a great father and was the perfect man for me.”

Q: What’s your proposal story?

“We took a trip to Guanajuato, Mexico for our 8 year anniversary (New Years Day). He proposed in front of the beautiful theatre by using a mime. The mime created a show in which he wanted a woman (me) to pick the best man. He chose my husband and two other men to strut their stuff and try to win me over. Obviously, my choice was my husband and as my husband walked on over trying to conquer me by showing off his muscles and being silly he got down on one knee in front of hundreds of people and popped the question. I had no idea he had set up a mime to create a show in which we would both participate. It was definitely a night I will never forget!”

Q: Celebrating your big day means making tons of decisions. What was your favorite part of the planning experience?

“My favorite part of the planning experience was getting to shop! I really enjoyed going out with my husband to several stores and just deciding on decor items for our Wedding together
😊.”

Q: What inspired you to choose your wedding colors/theme?

“I absolutely love bright colors so I knew I had to have a Wedding that reflected that. Yellow, Teal, and Fuschia are my top three favorite colors and they went perfectly with our Bohemian/Fiesta theme. We chose that theme because #1, I am a huge boho lover, anything floral, macrame, vibrant colors, etc. calls my name; #2 we wanted our wedding to reflect our Guatemalan and Mexican heritage so we knew a fiesta inspired theme would tie it all together perfectly.”

“Yellow is my favorite color and Azazie carried the perfect Marigold color that I was searching for as well as a variety of styles that my bridesmaids could choose from.”

Q: How did you decide on your wedding venue?

“We wanted an outdoor wedding and when we took a tour of our venue (only tour we had) we knew it was the one. All the greenery, florals, and nature that surrounded the venue was exactly what we were looking for.”

Q: Many of our readers are brides-to-be. Do you have any tips for these lovely ladies?

“Remember, your wedding day is about you and your future husband so do what makes you both happy and not what makes others happy. Lastly, your wedding day is just one day, but your marriage is for a lifetime so don’t sweat the little things. Enjoy the planning process!”
